"Dancing Dots In The Dark" was self-recorded and produced by Bumblebees in the late summer and autumn of 2018. The 10 songs move through largely empty nights and coastal landscapes, locating people in an existential rootlensness in which nothing can be relied upon, especially not the ego that lurks behind your eyes.
Lyrics in English tell of restless dreams and indeterminate threats - the monster is in my head - but the sound carpet of guitars-synths-drums announces the opposite, sound as flow, which carries listeners and performers in an intermediate area of alienated spaces and semi-floating existence - not immediately into a utopia, that would be too much for a promise, but nevertheless into a flight directed there: Still searching for a better place called home. The orbit remains stable, the landing lies somewhere in a better future - it ended in fire - which against all odds, is held tight. From fire it will rise again. And in the meantime, the silent insistence of this musical journey offers itself as a shelter. Passionately spun into the desire to continue the existential search - what more could one want? Hold me tight, don't let me go outside again.
